This challenging and steep uphill hike is, with high drops on the fjord side of the track, particularly breathtaking. Enjoy fantastic views as you reach the top of Rimstigen, breathe in the fresh air and make sure to take some pictures before we return down the trail.

GUIDED HIKE TO RIMSTIGEN ABOVE THE NÆRØYFJORD
There's an incredible hike called the Rimstigen that goes from Gudvangen to a view over the Nærøyfjord. I chose to do a part of the hike rather than the complete hike given that I had limited time. There's a bus that goes through a mountain tunnel from Flåm to Gudvangen that leaves from the central square.

Nærøyfjord is one of Norway's smallest fjords and listed as one of Unesco's World Heritage Sites. It receives many tourists each year that do the "Norway in a Nutshell trip" but not a lot of people get to stay there because there is almost nowhere to live.
