The CaseIH 7140 is a 2WD or 4WD row-crop tractor from the Magnum series. This tractor was manufactured by CaseIH in Racine, Wisconsin, USA from 1987 to 1993. The CaseIH 7140 is equipped with a 8.3 L (504.5 cu·in) six-cylinder diesel engine and one of three transmissions: a full power shift transmission with 18 forward and 2 reverse gears, a powershift transmission with creeper and 24 forward.

Technical IH Talk. 7130 Boxcar Magnum Reverse/Shifter issue. All, My 7130 shifter has started doing some goofy things. When you first slide over to forward the first notch at the bottom is supposed to still be neutral, however it's in first gear. Reverse, is hard to get it into. It's a four speed reverse, and I have been thinking about updating.

Subject: RE: Easy one -- Why is it called a "boxcar" Magnum? SW Nebraska Panhandle. Spent many many days on my 2 "boxcars". Still use them all the time (7130 and 7240 ). For their generation they were very comfortable and easy to drive. Still are in my opinion. Driven many newer tractors and for tractors of similar size they are just as drivable.

The Magnum 7100 line consisted of four tractors - the models 7110 (130 hp.), 7120 (150 hp.), 7130 (170 hp.) and 7140 (195 hp). - which employed six-cylinder turbocharged engines design specially for the tractors by Consolidated Diesel Corporation. This engine firm was jointly owned by Case IH and Cummins.

Wait a minute.. The dimensions you are giving are NOT for a wear sleeve, but for the original bushing on the axle for the axle seal. This is fit to the axle shaft from the bearing side of the axle, not the side that the wheel fits to the axle. You will need a wear sleeve that is available from Case that fits to the bushing you are working with.
